CIC Partners Makes Capital Investments in Healthcare Services, Energy and Food Service Companies

Solacium Holdings LLC, headquartered in Utah, is a provider of education, recovery, and treatment programs to emotionally or behaviorally challenged youth. The company currently has two facilities in the northern Utah area operating under the name New Haven.

In February 2006, CIC partnered with the co-founder and Val Christensen, a successful operator in the healthcare industry, to provide expansion capital and strategic support. Jim Smith, a CIC Advisory Partner, will serve on the company’s board of directors.

Bagby Energy Holdings, LP (via its operating company, Bagby Energy, LLC) is an independent oil and gas exploration company headquartered in Fort Smith, Arkansas. Bagby is engaged in acquiring and developing natural gas prospects in the Arkoma Basin of Northwest Arkansas and Southeastern Oklahoma as well as the Barnett Shale of North Texas.

In January 2006, CIC partnered with Howard Bagby, an experienced energy operator, to form and capitalize the company. Mr. Bagby contributed existing energy assets and prospects to the partnership in conjunction with a significant cash investment led by CIC. Casey McManemin, a CIC Value Added Partner, and Kyle Burnett, CEO of Arcadia Exploration, a CIC portfolio company, also participated in the financing and serve on the company’s board of directors.

CampoSol S.A. is a major Peruvian grower and exporter of asparagus, avocadoes, artichokes and other fruits and vegetables. Located at the base of the Andean Mountains on the northern coast of Peru, CampoSol is owned and managed by Luis Gonzalez, an ex-fishing entrepreneur and industry leader in agricultural farming in Peru.

In December 2005, CIC partnered with a prominent Californian agribusiness, led by Steve Barnard, in a growth capital investment in CampoSol.
